Where can i get a fan blade for the lakewood mc42 in fan

hello Lamar baker i think the problem is the AC CAPACITOR is about 2 to 5 micro farad this is usually the problem if your sharp and bossing is clean and have oil...

mcdevito75 here, If the fan is not too old I would figure yes, but a replacement motor will cost as a new fan, if not more, then you have to install and the blades are a presss fit to the motor.

Throw away the fan and buy a new one.

most likley the set screw that secures the blade to the motor is loose.

The fan blade just pulls off. I have a Lakewood 200/1PG and my grills are installed with phillip head screws.

Probably requires cleaning- take the grille off, pull the blade free (most pull straight out- some have a pin/socket deal right behind the blades that need to be removed first) and clean out any gunk you may find inside. Be sure to unplug it first. before replacing the blade, turn the shaft with your hands to see how it moves; you might want to grease it with an electricity friendly lube of your choice. If it's still hard to turn, it may just be this fans time; box fans are cheap, and made cheap, and the wear-and-tear adds up.
