Initial connection to my iPad was on wed may 26 2014 at 6pm. My grandson downloaded and deleted a Mine Craft game.My Wi Fi (ADSL) was disconnected by locking Wi Fi connection on my iPad.After speaking twice to a technical support person, I was told that I should pay $15 a month for support services. On top of that I could not understand what the person on the other end was saying, all she kept saying was I should get a support service plan for $15 a month, as she could not connect my iPad to my home (ADSL)WiFi connection.I am very disappointed.I would like some help as soon as possible Regards Marjorie McCann
Go back into WiFi, select Connect. The information for your WiFi connection should still be there, usually the strongest signal or the one nearest the top of the list. Otherwise, when you set up the iPad it should have taken a backup of all the settings. You can go into iTunes and do a restore from the most recent backup.

I picked 1 up for the first time and connected in 2 minutes.
In settings page where you add a wireless connection, you will need to know..
Security type, mine was wpa2 ( may be wpa/wpa2/wep)
SSID, your network name that is transmitted, mine was default
password, whatever the wireless password you chose with wpa, if you have wep, it gives you a pass key, you will need to log onto your router to get this

This sounds like a hard ware issue with you wifi antenna. Restore your device using iTunes. If it is still grayed out take it in for service at a local apple store or authorized service provider.
SOURCE: I had bought an ipad
I was very happy when I got my hands on the new iPad. I didn't notice this at first, but when I took the tablet into my backyard, and my iPhone was able to pick up my router signal without a hassle; the iPad didn't pick up the network at all. This became a nightmare for me. A friend suggested trying the "Forget This Network" reset method, which used to work on the older models, but this didn't improve the wifi range at all. Right when I lost all hope, I came across WIRED magazine and found a review of Pong Research cases, After seeing the great feedback on their products, I bought one and it finally solve the new iPad 3 wifi issues . The back cover has a built-in antenna in between its layers, which redirects and boosts the signals and range, allowing me to getting connected from much further away.
