Model JES1651 or JES1656
The "PF" on any appliance indicates a power failure. So if you lost power in a recent storm, this would cause your problem. Pressing the cancel button should clear up your problem, and put you back in business. If not, unplug the unit, plug it back in and try the cancel button again. If trouble persists, your board is probably at fault.
I tried to clear the PF code but nothing works. The only buttons that work are clock set and vegetable preset..no other buttons make a noise or operate ..we DID have a kid / popcorn smoke out in the microwave the day this all started so I was assuming the smoke made soot posable and did something to the board or button panel ? Is that possible?.. what else could I check

When I try and heat some food, the microwave runs but doesn't heat anything, its a model wes1450dm1bb
SOURCE: It doesn't heat anything. Could putting metal in
This is usually caused by a "Blown" magnetron, and or the High power Diode And YES, putting metal inside the MW, will cause it to fail.
You need to get a "Quote" for any repair, as the repair may cost nearly as much, as new unit. Also the new unit will have a warranty.
