SOURCE: my sony bravia has no audio when used as cable tv

Check the connections between the cable box and the TV. If you are using scart check the connector is in squarely if using rgb or composite you need a separate audio connection using the red and white phon sockets.

SOURCE: sony bravia kdl 32l4000 - color bars running vertically on screen

In most cases is the screen is covered with vertical lines all the way accross the screen then the T-Con module is at fault. The t-con board is replaceable without having to replace the entire LCD panel which would usually make it cheaper than replacing the TV. The part number I come up with is 1-857-213-11. Please take a moment to rate my answer. Thanks...

My sony bravia klv40ex600 won't turn on,the light indicator for power, volume and channel is on, the screen is still black

Hi, have you tried pressing the TV button that is under the On/Off button on top right hand side of remote control? Some times its possible to accidently press the DVD or VCR controls and this by-passes the TV as a remote?
Another cause can be a poor or low battery in the remote itself. If you have no luck let me know & we can try some more things, however, I have heard that The On/Off Switch on the TV can be a problem. Goodluck, Jon..

Hi Djmojoey,

Your question is probably best answered by Sony...in the meanwhile, I found a manual for you to review the troubleshooting.
https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/res/manuals/4138/41385145M.pdf

In addition, the Sony website page states some features that are discontinued as of March 2017. Support for KDL 40Z4500 Downloads Manuals Tutorials and FAQs Sony UK

I hope this helps at least some.

If you do not have experience discharging the tube, PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!!

We had a power outage last night. Now the tv has no sound and is displaying "power saving:low" and HDM 1 on a black bar across the top

Yikes, thats no good at all. First off, before we do anything big in the menu and setup of the TV have you tried a simple reset where you unplug the TV for at least 3 minutes, let it sit unplugged, and then plug it back in.

Let me know if you have done that, and if the problem persists, there is more we can do.

Sony KDL 46V2500

This set does have a video problem. If it was bought locally, then, the retailer may have a 30 day return policy. If bought online or cannot be returned, then, contact Sony, for a service center in your location: http://eservice.sony.com/webrma/web/index.do Either way the set is to new to have a problem and you should get it resolved as soon as possible.
