Unlocking dell inspiron 1501 laptop

I put a log-on password and i cant remember the pass word and was wondering are there any ways to get around to cracking the password

is this a system password that your talking about? Does it come up when you first turn on the laptop quickly or does it come up just before windows logs in?

Thats a system password that you have and its a security issue. Only way to remove it is to call Dell and prove your the owner of the laptop and they can help you remove the password. Just keep in mine that the Hard drive might have a password on it as well and if that does and you don't know that password then you can't remove the password on that, Dell wouldn't even be able to remove it so thaht would mean putting a new hard drive into the system as well.

The only way you can try is to put away the CMOS battery for five seconds then put it on the place again and power on the laptop. Another way could be to put the jumpers on motherbord on clean position but on a laptop this is complicated

If you have any other users you can try to remove your son's password from the other user account. If you don't then you'll need a password reset boot disk.

Hi there, if you forget your password yes you can get it back follow this: when you great the password you did use a password hint right? try to remember that hint turn on the computer when it ask you for the password just click on the arrow you will see to right of that little space which you has to type the password you will see your password hint that should help you to remember your password

Forgot password

In case you have problem with your pass restart your computer, log in as administrator (the default pass is blank) and change your account's pass to a proper one, easy for you to remember.
