It may be due to thin base, you should check the base of your pan while purchasing. The stainless steel Saucepans and posts would be better choice. Check out GroomNStyle for high quality Saucepans and posts.

It happens due to thin base and more exposure to heat.

What is the most important thing to consider when choosing a stock pot?

I think the most important thing is the bottom of the pot. When you cook, you do not want the bottom of the soup to get burnt! Even if your pot is the perfect size and shape, if your soup burns, the pot is still no good. You have to make sure the bottom is made of a good material and it is thick and heavy.

I have a whirlpool gold quiet three.It has never been used I do not have the instruction manuel. help with starting please

Hello.
If you've just installed a Whirlpool Gold dishwasher, consider yourself truly liberated from the drudgery of standing at the sink washing plate after plate and saucepan after saucepan. You'll find it much easier to keep the kitchen clean as your dirty dishes are hidden away in your new appliance and all you have to do is wipe down the counter tops and switch the dishwasher on when it's full. However, to get the maximum benefit from your new piece of equipment, it's important to use it correctly.

Instructions
MATERIALS NEEDED WHEN OPERATING.
* Dishwasher detergent
* Dishwasher rinse aid
Preparation of Dishes
1 Scrape leftover food off the dishes and make sure no other hard objects such as small bones or toothpicks remain on them.
2 Remove sticky labels from any newly bought food containers you are washing for the first time.
3 Make sure any leftover coffee, tea, soda or wine has been poured out of cups, mugs and glasses.
Loading the Dishwasher
1 Place cups, mugs and glasses in the top rack with the open ends pointing downwards. Cups and mugs should go along the left and right outside edges, with glasses beside them. Position small plates and saucers in holders along the center of the rack running from back to front.
2 Place larger plates and bowls in the bottom rack, which is also where casserole dishes and saucepans should be washed. Avoid overlapping bowls and plates, because it is important every surface is open to the water directed around the dishwasher's interior during the program.
3 Create a flat surface on which to lay saucepans and larger dishes by collapsing some of the plate holders on the bottom rack, if your model dishwasher allows. Lay them open-end down to allow the water to be directed around their interiors.
4 Position dirty saucepans at the rear of the bottom rack with the open end facing the back of the machine's interior, if your machine has a "PowerScour" facility.
5 Place silverware in the silverware basket with sharp items pointing downwards. Alternate the direction in which you load spoons to prevent them "nesting" together, which stops water reaching every surface.
Detergent and Rinse Aid
* 1

Place detergent in the dispenser just when you intend to run the wash cycle, not before. If you're using standard powder or liquid detergent, be guided by the hard-water and soft-water indicators. These are lines marked in the side of the dispenser. In areas with soft water, fill to the soft water line and in hard-water areas fill to the hard water line. If you prefer individual tablets, follow the manufacturer's instructions.
2 Add rinse aid immediately when the rinse aid indicator reaches the "add" level. Turn the cap on the rinse aid dispenser to "refill" and lift it away from the dishwasher. Pour rinse aid into the opening until the indicator reaches the "full" mark and replace the lid. Make sure the lid is tightly in place.
3 Adjust to a higher setting on the arrow adjuster, located inside the dispenser, if you feel more rinse aid is needed during a wash cycle. You can do this by inserting a flat-blade screwdriver into the center of the adjuster.
Starting the Wash
* 1 Check that the spray arms can rotate freely before closing up the dishwasher.
2 Turn on the hot faucet at the sink closest to the dishwasher and let the water run until it is hot.
3 Close the door firmly and select the wash cycle you wish to use. Depending on which model you are using, you may wish to activate additional options during the cycle such as "Power Scour." These options should also be selected at this stage.

Thanks.

Burn at bottom of microwave

First try cleaning the burned mark off. Dip a scrubber in lemon juice and sprinkle salt on it; this is also great for burned coffee pots. The smell can be gotten rid of this way: Boil lemon peel in water, then put the water in a spray bottle. Not only will it make your microwave smell fresh but the lemon oil will make it easier to clean. If it still smells of burning rubber, take the back off and inspect the wiring. IF you see burned wiring, please do yourself a favor and replace the microwave!

Microwaves work by making the molecules in food get "excited"-they move more-meaning, if there IS rubber burning, then there will be minute molecules of rubber in your food, which is BAD for your immune system. If it's just burned chocolate, though, it is harmless unless you are allergic.
