If your surround sound receiver unit has rca audio inputs(red/white), you can hook up any brand of DVD player that has rca outputs. You would hook the yellow output from DVD player to yellow input on TV. Hook red/white output from DVD player to red/white input on surround receiver. Hope this helps.

How can i directly connect a LG H30 TV, or a PS3 or a Wii to a Regent HT391 sound system? Is it possible to? So far the only 'surround sound' I can achieve is by connecting my tv thru the cable box...
According to the various vendors that carry this model, the unit has multiple inputs to accommodate gaming systems, dvd, tv, etc.

Look on the back of your system and see if there are inputs labeled as Game, DVD, TV, etc. You should be able to connect each component, and use the remote to switch between the multiple sources.

I having trouble geting the tv sound to go through the dvd surround system speakers and do i also have to have a remote to equile the speaker volume on the surround system
If you have a volume knob on your surround receiver, you do not need a remote. I;m not sure what your problem is, but if you want the TV to be broadcast through the surround sound system, you need to connect audio out from the TV to audio in on the receiver on a separate channel than what the DVD is hooked up to. Then pick that source on the receiver that corresponds to the TV out. I hope that helps.

the only time the center and surround speakers put out sound is when it has a surround sound source such as a dvd etc. and only certain sounds come from them as well.

How do i get my ps3 to run through my lg surround sound
Connect your yellow and red lead from the PS3 to the surround system, connect them to aux input. (the white lead is not needed). Then in the sound settings on the PS3, go to audio multi-output and change it to on. On your remote for the sound system press the input button until aux appears on the front of your LG HT303SU, and thats it, happy gaming.
