Dial a nuber, I connect but I cannot hear anything

I have reception, I dial a number, it connects nut I cannot hear anything.

    same thing happens to me. however, if i dial a number and put the phone on speakerphone right away, then i can talk to and hear the person. if i use speaker phone i can hear, but without speaker phone i can't hear anything.

    this is a really stupid way of receiving/making all calls, so i would like this problem fixed.

    someone with ideas please??

    Ya it happened to me too... i restarted it took battery out turned volume all teh way up.. nothing

    The phone will ring and I can call out, but I can not hear anything and the other person can not hear me.

That is poor advise....do you really think people would not have thought of checking the volume? Stick to what ever it is you do

Once you have connected on the call press the volume button to raise the earpiece volume.
this can only be done while on a call

I can't hear anything on my Siemens SF65. Although the phone connects ok when I dial a number, I can't hear either the ring tone or the other person speaking.
Sounds like it's connected to a bluetooth headset. When connected the internal speakers are disabled.

The switch that the handpiece activates is not working. Could be optical, magnetic or physical. It may need cleaning, adjusting or a wire connection repaired. Also check the curly cord and its connections between the handpiece and telephone.

1. Make sure you have a telephone cable connected the jack labelled "LINE" on your brother machine.
Go through the Menu on the LCD, Initial setup, dial tone, choose the correct dial tone PULSE or TONE.
Exit from the menu.
Pick up the handset on the fax machine, and dial your nuber to make a phone call. (To send a fax, dial the number without lifting the handset.)

Are you using a bluetooth? This will prevent the earpiece from being used but will allow the speakerphone to function properly.

Problems sending and receiving faxes.
  1. Open Lexmak Productiviti studio - 5600 - 6000 Series ( icon on Desktop)
  2. Open Setup and manage faxes link ( left bottom corner)
  3. On Ringing and Answering card look at the Manual Answer Code ( if some nuber inside delete it, it should be blank)
  4. On Dialing and sending card look at the Dial method (if you have a tone phone select Touch - tone, and if you have pulse phone select Pulse)
The diference betwen Touche Tone and Pulse is that Tone when you press nuber hear tone (like on cell phone), and Pulse when you dial nuber hear serie of short pulses (like when you dial nuber 5 you hear 5 short pulses like tttttt)

Phone calls won't connect
I have the same problem with my Verizon treo 755p. It will dial but I can't hear anything from the other end. I can receive calls but when I answer, I can't hear the person on the other end. I guess I need to visit Verizon to have them look at it or give me another phone.
