Why doesn't the DVI input work on my Syntax Olevia LT32HV ?

It keeps giving me a message like "not enabled at this time". This has been since I bought it nearly 10 years ago! What gives?

Contact any service technician. The firmware to DVI [Digital Video Interface], might not be installed. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" or "Magazine" will make surf easy. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. Do a search by type in the brand name of your device at its search box and press "Enter".

SOURCE: LCD Screen going bad?

This set has had a problem with the LVDS cable from the Main PCB to the panel. The wires are delicate and the connection is not that great. Sometimes unplugging and reseating the cable does clear intermitent problems like yours up. Good Luck

SOURCE: syntax olevia lt32hv 32 inch lcd tv. power surge now no picture

The electronics are known to go bad with these TV's, and I'm looking to buy someone's junk TV that has a good screen, rather than have to throw it out.
(So if anyone is out there with a 532-B12 that isn't working, send me a message!)

Yours might be worth fixing - however I know sadly that parts are nearly impossible to get for these TV's, and the manufacturer is virtually impossible to contact.
If you DO manage to contact anyone (manufacturer or otherwise) who can source or supply parts, PLEASE do let me know - it's been nearly impossible for me, and I want to replace my cracked screen in my TV.
If you can't, please let me know - I'll gladly give you a few bucks at least to salvage the screen from your TV, to transplant into mine, rather than turning it into junk on your curb.

SOURCE: My menu says dtv Currently unavailable. How do I

Hello, I have the same TV and DTV is not available because the TV doesn't have a HDTV Receiver integrated, maybe we can add this feature with optional accesories but I sincerelly think that is not worthed, howerver the TV has a DVI input wish can be used to experience HD from computers or even Blu-Rays via a HDMI-DVI cable but the audio will have to go via RCA (red and white conectors)

I have a olevia 232-S12 been stored up stairs just pluged in and screen looks like is cracked on inside try to rub out the crack gets bigger do i need new screen how much would it be ?

You are describing a damaged "panel" which is the entire front screen unit; forget this set as 1) with this brand the part will not be available and 2) if it was available the cost would be as much or more than the set cost when new.

Sorry to give you bad news but the screens on these sets are extremely fragile and even a slight blow can destroy them.

Olevia model 537-b12 loses the picture after 10 minutes to an hour run time. sound stays on. any thoughts?

if you look closely can you see any picture what-so-ever? grab a flashlight and check to see if you see a very dark image on the screen. if so you need to check voltages coming from power supply to the inverter board - if the voltages are good - order inverter boards - if you can see the backlights on - check your Main and tcon boards..

thanks,
michael

My menu says dtv Currently unavailable. How do I use the HD feature on my Olevia LT32HV

Do you have a High Definition cable/satellite reciever or a Blu-Ray player? Does your tv have a HDMI input or component or DVi or all of those? Most newer HD components use the HDMI connection. The HDMI connection is a single cable that has both video and digital audio together. The component connection is a connector with three rca jacks that are red, green, and blue. Audio is connected seperately with this connection via red and green rca audio jacks or a digital audio connector. The last is a DVi connector that is found on computers. Some older HD tvs and components use this connection. There are adapters available to turn a DVi connection into a HDMI connection. So if your TV does not have a HDMI connection but your HD reciever does you can use and adapter but you will not have any audio this way without using a seperate connector for the audio.

The right code

Dish Network can be listed as Echostar as well.. There is a possibility that they don't cover Dish Network. What is the model number of the TV?
