Acer aspire will wake up when lid is opened

Please check your power option settings in the control panel. Go to my computer > Control Panel > power options and select the advanced tab. On this menu there are some options for what you would like the notebook to do when you close the lid etc. Please make sure that it is set to hibernate mode if this is what you want it to do, alternatively you can set it to do nothing and this will just turn off the screen when you close the lid. If this fails to rectify the fault then you will also need to chack what your display settings are set to. If this is set to use an external monitor it will try to turn this on when you close the lid. Go to the desktop and right click and select properties, select the appearance tab and make sure that you have only 1 display selected. Please let me know how you go.

Hi there! You could try go to Control Panel, open Power Options Properties, set the Power Buttons actions: When I close the lid of my portable computer: Stand by. Not Hebernate. Then go to Hibernate disable this function. Try this to see what happen. Hope this help. Thanks for reading
