If you ever accidently locked yourself out of your iPod this is the easiest way to UNLOCK an iPod
FIRST CONNECT iPod TO COMPUTER/LAPTOP (using a USB cable)
On your desktop click on Microsoft
start button, then choose Run..
type this exactly
J:\ipod_Control\Device
then click
OK
tip: use the letter representing your ipod driver, for example
J...(you can find your letter by clicking
My computer then see your ipod name under that letter)
there will be a file named
_locked
you then right click on it and choose
Rename, you then type
unlocked
then press Enter
OR
you can just
delete the file named _locked
now close window
and
safely disconnect usb driver (this would be either on your icon tray or you could use itunes or any other media player that has an eject button)
CONGRATZ YOUR iPod IS NOW UNLOCKED AND READY TO BE ENJOYED AGAIN
ps...have not tried it, but....
if you have a locked iphone or itouch, this just might work for it too.....
instead of
J:\ipod_Control\Device
replace
ipod to iphone or itouch, get it?...
Good!...
Now have FUN!!!
