These speakers are a part of the palmrest and heed to be replaced with that unit. http://www.skyline-eng.com/Gateway-NV-Series-Touchpad-Palmrest-Speakers-p/7584.htm is a link to the palmrest assembly for under $20.

How to replace a video cable

In a Gateway M-7351u Notebook PC?

1) http://www.insidemylaptop.com/replace-broken-lcd-screen-gateway-m-series-laptop/

2) http://www.insidemylaptop.com/replace-keyboard-gateway-m-series-notebook/

Motherboard side of video cable, should be under the Switch Cover, (LED indicators, Power On button, speakers, etc), or under the Keyboard close to the Switch Cover.

Don't forget to remove ALL power. Remove the AC adapter (Charger), and Battery. (Use CARE. Wires going to Switch Cover. Do not cut them by accident, or pull on them when removing Switch Cover )

Sounds like my speakers are blown but my audio jack doesnt work either

I'm sure that you have tried checking to see if mute is on. However, I thought I would ask. Another possibility is that the drivers got messed up. You should be able to go to your manufacturer and download the audio drivers again.

7000684, 7000787, 7000947, 7001364 power cable for gateway 2000 media theatre

In DEC 1998 I bought a Gateway PC with a Digital Media Theater, P/N 7000787. In the meantime the speaker in the sub-woofer got damaged (because of age). Is it possible to disassemble the sub-woofer and replace the speaker?
Where can I buy the same or a very similar speaker for this sub-woofer? Thanks, Andy Szekely

Junky speakers

One of the speakers is blown so unless you can find a replacement speaker for the blown one then you have to either buy a set of other speakers to replace the speakers in the monitor or buy speakers you can hook up to output of the computer.
