Stay AWAY from the SGX. The quality control is really poor. I know of three other users having the same problem, the antenna cover falls off and the unit does not get satelite reception. It becomes a piece of junk. Once that unit got replaced, in less than 5 months, the rubber covering the knob that allows you to select items had a tear and now the unit is no longer waterproof. This is not covered under warranty and they want you to pay $89.95 for a replacement. I am done with SkyCaddie. I have just purchased the new Garmin G6, awesome device, no annual fees, long battery life and touch screen enabled.

Your device is a bit light on support, a brief user manual can be found here: http://www.manualslib.com/manual/223934/Compex-Sgx3226.html#manual Usually there is a tiny recessed RESET button on the device, push and hold for 30 seconds or so will return to defaults.
Had the same problem when i first tried to sync on 2 different OS (XP and 7) as soon as I put skygolf.com into my antivirus software as a trusted site, it worked like a charm. Hope this helps someone as this is a great gps.
