In settings you find (on the bottom) Format.
You could try formatting in a computer, using an external card reader and choose the FAT16 or FAT 32 format.

But be aware if you bought a new memory card it should be a SD card. Not a SDHC or worse SDXC.
The camera can only handle MMC and SD cards. Today you can't find much SD cards. Because they already started to make the 2Gb cards in SDHC. (High Capacity) these cards look the same, but can't be accessed if your system (Camera) can't handle the large file systems.
So if you need a new card, look for the smaller like 1 or 2 Gb, but with only SD printed on them. As soon as you see SDHC or SDXC you can't use them in this camera. The newer ones can.

If it's the door you are needing, try ebay. I've seen people sell items simply for parts. Good Luck!

What size is your SDXC Card? The maximum supported it 2 Gb. It can't handle more than that and won't format.

My c703 won't format a new memory card. The old memory card is full (2GB), but I've tried two NEW Lexar 4GB cards and neither will format. Help!

Hi, The reason neither 4GB card will format is because that camera is only able to support, at most, a 2GB card. I'd suggest returning the 4GB card and getting another 2GB one.

The 1GB disk, only takesabout 22 pictures beforeit says the memory is full

Check the setting where the pictures are being stored. It may be still storing to the internal memory.

Also check what resolution you are capturing your snaps. Although 22 pictures should not fill your memory but high resolution photos can take 5-6 MB /photo, so you can accomodate about 180-200 photos in 1GB. Try reducing the photo resolution, if you are not planning to print them.

Also, have you downloaded all the previous snaps from the card and deleted it from the 1GB card?

My camera says the memory is full. How do I clear it out and how many pictures should I be able to take? I have a sandisk 1GB

You can use the KODAK EASYSHARE Software supplied with the camera to transfer the pictures to your computer.

You can save upto approx 333 pictures with 1 GB memory card.

Kodak easyshare c703 - even with brand new batteries it often won't turn on - just flashes red. may then turn on later in day, totally unpredictable and annoying!!

Sounds like a loose connection in the energy pack... this will require a professional to crack it open and re connection the loose connections...

Please rate advise.

I was told by a Kodak tech that the cameras are identical. The different numbers were a marketing thing.
