Ink system failure

I just puchased this copier and tried to installed the ink cartridge. the printer states that there is a ink system failure, what am I doing wrong.

Did you try removing and reinstalling the new print cartridge? If it still does it, try powering it off, unplug it, wait 5 minutes then plug it back in. If it still does it, you could try a reset on it.

Hello,

May i know the printer model # to assist you better.

Meanwhile you may try the below steps..
  1. while the printer is ON, remove the ink cartridges.
  2. Unplug the power cord from back of the printer.
  3. Wait for 30 seconds.
  4. Plug in the power cord to the printer. Wait unit it prompts you to install the ink cartridges.
  5. Check if the ink cartridges are not damaged or if ink is leaking.
  6. Install cartridges one by one. Ensure they are snapped well in the cartridge slot.
Now try printing.

I have purchased a C6380 HP printer, uppon renewing my ink cartridges my retailer stated that I only need four these being Black (thicker) yellow - blue - red. They state they do not stock the thin black...

You can't use the printer without all the inks installed on it. If the retailer store don't have the ink that you're missing try to check online for the ink cartridge that you need. Try to go on this website for the inks availability.

When the printer is turned on it states: ink system failure. Unable to print. Refer to printer documentation. Error Oxc18a0001.

possible causes of this:
  • loose or improperly installed ink cartridge
  • damaged cartridge
  • dirty print head
Solutions:
  • check cartridge connection, try to remove and reconnect
  • replace damaged cartridge
  • clean printhead using the printhead cleaning utility software of your printer

Printer is showing ink system failure. what does this mean? how can it be fixed?do we just need to replace all of the ink cartridges? help!

Hi,

Ink system failure indicated that ink delivery mechanism of the printer is experiencing problem. We need to do below resets for this printer to fix this issue.

Solution 1:

  • Press the On button to turn of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and from wall outlet or surge protector.
  • Removed all the ink cartridges
  • Wait for 2 minutes
  • Connect the power cord and turn the printer On.
  • Install the ink cartridges
(Please go to solution 2 if the problem is not resolved)

Solution 2:
  • Remove all the ink cartridges.
  • While the printer is ON, unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Press and hold OK and Cancel button, while holding these buttons connect the power cord.
  • Release the button after 20 seconds.
  • Turn on the printer if it goes off and install the cartridges.

Have you installed a new cartridge or tried the old one that worked to see if the new cartridge you have was bad out of the box?

Ink System Failure HP C5180

IssueAn 0xc18xxxxx or 0xc19xxxxx ink system error code displays on the front panel. The printer cannot copy, receive faxes, or print. Solution
Press the On button to turn the printer off. 
Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
Remove all the ink cartridges.
Wait two minutes.
Plug the power cord into the back of the printer.
Press the On button to turn the printer on. 
Install the ink cartridges when prompted.
If the error code does not display, the issue is resolved.
If the 0xc18xxxxx or 0xc19xxxxx ink system error code displays on the front panel, service the printer.

Ink system failure

HP Photosmart C7180 will not accept new '02' yellow ink cartridge and repeatedly states 'printer does not have enough ink to ensure printer health. The empty ink cartridge must be replaced to resume.' This is the 2nd HP '02'yellow I've bought and it continues to say the same.

Try switching the cartridges around.You may have them reversed.
Black in Color slot - Color in Black slot.
