OLYMPUS FE-240 digital camara can't use port to unload photos

Can't seem to use the multi connector port on camara to unload photos with the usb cable provded.Looking inside the port it appears the inside connectors are upside down to the shape of the connector cable they provded. It seems the usb connector they provided would have to be plugged in upside down. The shapes don't match.

You better take a closer look. I know my friend Dave always looks in the wrong place. Here is a link to you manual

Radio Shack has cables of all sorts if you've lost on but it sounds like you just need a map and some magnification.

Problem transferring photos from my digital camera to my PC

Be sure that you plug original Olympus USB cable directly into USB port on mother board (ussualy on the back side of PC) not on the front pannel hub and not into extention USB cable.

Olympus camera fe 240

You can transfer the photos directly from the camera to the PC using the USB cable that came with the camera. You don't need to transfer the pics to memory card first.

Connect the cable to the camera and the PC. Turn on the camera and your PC will recognise it as an external storage device. Use the PC's software to transfer the photos from camera to PC.

Once you have the pics on the PC you can use the Olympus Master software included with the camera to edit and archive the photos on the PC.

Problems downloading photos from camera

Unless someone else on the forum offers something more specific, I'd be very tempted to borrow a USB cable from a friend and see if using that instead of yours works. (Doesn't have to be from an Olympus camera - anything that has the same connectors on - camera, MP3 player, etc lead will do). A.
