Ricoh Fax 3800L Error code

What does Service code 3-31H mean?

I have the same error code - Service Call 3-31H

I open and close all doors and I also shut off the machine for a few minutes and then turn it on. It works for a day or two and then the same error code appears. I do not know what the fuser looks like, nor do I know where it is (the operator's manual does not indicate its location), so I don't know how to check the left lock. Details will help. Thanks

Hi there the error code that you are getting appears to be for the left lock where the fuser is make sure that the door is shut fully and turn the machine off then on again if this doesn't work then it is more likely to be the laser unit and this will need replacing.

Hope this is of some help to you.

Thanks J

Ricoh 3310LE Fax shows error 0500H display

I've never seen a message like that with the 0390H code. There is no mention of that code in either the user manual or service manual. The closest thing is the sc390 code, which means either the toner density sensor or the developer has gone bad, and typically replacing the PCU can fix that problem.

If the new PCU doesn't fix the problem, you might want to try calling Ricoh for support, since their documentation doesn't mention that code.

Ricoh fax error #400

Possibly the fax line is open (busy). Try ringing the fax number, see what you get. Try unplugging the fax and plug a normal analogue handset into the line. See if you are getting a dial tone.
If not, then the cabling or line are faulty. Talk to your carrier. If yes then replace the cable on the fax (if possible) or have it looked at.

How do you change the date and time on a Ricoh 3800L fax machine?

To change the date and time on a Ricoh 3800L:

Press the Function key, 6222291, Yes. When the date appears, use the asterisk (*) and pound sign (#) to change the month and to change AM or PM, and use the keypad to change the date, month, and time.

Press Yes Function when you've got it set and want to save it.

Fax error code on Ricoh 2045

network errors, like the 15-03, that you are receiving, have to do with fax "forwarding". the errors are thrown because the proper destination, or setup of the destination, for the forwarded faxes, are incorrect.

personally, i have not seen any 15-whatever codes. all the codes that i have dealt with are 14-01, 14-09, and 14-33. please double check the code that you are getting, and check the settings on copier.

14-01 and 14-09 codes usually mean that the smtp server name is incorrect, or the administrator e-mail address has not been added to the setup of the machine. although, it is still possible to e-mail directly without the administrator address being programmed. fax forwarding canNOT work without it. hence, the codes.

14-33 code usually means that there is an issue with the folder destination that the machine is trying to send to.
