My friend gave me her mp3 player without the software

Add it to your computer using the "Add Hardware" from your Control Panel. Attach it via a usb cable and the computer should do the rest, even finding you a compatible driver. If there is not one available on your computer, you can allow it to search the net for you, or download a freebie bundle of drivers, as I did, and let it go from there.

How To Convert Photos/Videos For A SanDisk Sansa MP3 Player Using The Sansa...

If you own a SanDisk Sansa MP3 player, which includes the Fuze, Clip, Clip +, and View, you may be a little confused as to how to put media on it. However, this is pretty easy with a SanDisk- made program, as long as you follow these simple steps.
You Will Need: SanDisk Sansa MP3 Player, USB Cable, Computer, and Media (Photo, Video, etc.)
  1. First, you will need to download the Sansa Media Converter. This is pretty simple and can be found on the SanDisk website, or you can just click the following link: http://kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4431/~/downloading-and-launching-the-sansa-media-converter
  2. Once the converter is downloaded, open it and plug your MP3 Player into your computer via a USB port. Next, click "Add Media". You can add as many or as little photos or videos that you want. Click "Convert" and let the program do its magic.
  3. After your files are done converting, they will be automatically stored in a folder entitled "My Album," but you can change that name if you so choose.
  4. From here, you can choose to either save your media to your MP3 player or to a microSD card that you may have separately purchased by clicking the option that you wish to choose. If your MP3 player is connected and you choose no other option, the media will be automatically put onto it if no other option is selected. If not, the media will go to your computer's hard drive.
There you are, this can be used for nearly any photo or video that you wish to put on your SanDisk Sansa MP3 player.

Music Videos

I'm not an expert, but I do have a Sansa e250, too. Sounds like you need to download a Sansa Media Converter.

Here's the link: http://www.sandisk.com/driverdownload/download.asp?driverId=184

Once that is downloaded and installed, open it, plug your Sansa into the computer by USB cable, click "Add media". Then you should see a window that says "Add media" Select the media you want to put on your Sansa. Once the media is added, then click "Convert". After it is finished converting, it should be on your Sansa. Hope that helps!

Sansa® e250 MP3 Player 2GB

Mikey25
Once you connect your Sansa® e250, a pop-up should appear on your computer that asks what you want to do with the device. Choose View with Microsoft explorer, it should be the second to last option. From there you should see some folders and some other stuff. choose the PHOTO folder and delete the pictures inside. You should be able to do the opposite to add them. You can simply drag-and-drop the photos into this folder from another as long as they are the same format.
