Easy take back panel off two screws, pump is in back on floor, three screws, youll have to take two hoses loose and unplug the pump, hses have spring clamps on them esay to take loose with pliers, washer need to be empty, or youll have water coming at you when you take off hoses, unless your outside, i did mine in 30 min flat, but im a elec tech so ive done these things before,Matt

Washer not draining

I need to find the reset button. It will not drain. This has happened before but I can't remember where the reset button is.

If the drain pump is clear of obstructions, but is still noisy during the drain cycle, replace the drain pump.Sometimes, socks and other small articles of clothing can get into the drain system and clog the pump hose or the pump itself. Remove the hoses from the pump and check for any obstructions.First, check the drain hose to determine if it is kinked, twisted, or bent. If the drain hose is bent, straighten it out. In addition, remove the drain hose and check it for obstructions. If the drain hose has any obstructions, try to remove them. If necessary, replace the drain hose.

Maytag neptune washing machine will not drain/spin. replaces drain pump, cleaned hoses, no obstructions in drain. However it will drain and spin if only drain and spin are selected on panel.
Did you replace with a new or used pump?
i had same problem (not draining fully)
replace with a new pump. And works great now.

It sounds like your Drain pump has either become clogged, or has burned out.
  1. First, disconnect the power to the machine.
  2. The drain pump is located at the bottom of the machine. You will have to remove the panel to access the drain pump, or you can access the drain pump from the bottom of the machine after you have removed the water from inside the machine.
  3. The drain pump has 2 hoses connected to it, and a wiring harness.
  4. Disconnect the hoses and wiring harness and remove the drain pump.
  5. Check the impeller inside the drain pump for coins, socks, etc. and clean it out if you can. Make sure it turns with ease, and isn't worn out, or rocking back in forth. If it is worn out, replace the drain pump.
  6. If after clearing the drain pump and reassembling, and the machine still fails to drain, replace the drain pump.

My Whirlpool Imperial Series washing machine will not drain. It was recently moved from another home. Where and what should I start checking first.... ?
  1. Check the voltage going to the drain pump, and replace the drain pump if it is found to be bad.
  2. If you are getting no voltage to the drain pump, your control board or drain pump wiring may have been damaged.
  3. If the machine fills up with water, but doesn't drain, this is usually fixed by replacing the drain pump, un-kinking and clearing out the drain hose, or cleaning the drain pump and hoses out.

It is possible to have something lodged in the drain pump and commonly happens. If the drain pump does not have anything in it then I would say replace it.

Drain pump won't pump
Check on voltage to the drain pump and if present during the rinse and after wash cycle but failing to drain out, then the drain pump is faulty.
Remove the drain pump and check coils , if open then replace pump.
Other wise clean the pump and reset.

Wont power on after replacing drain pump.
could be just the fuse, but failing that check all circuit boards for signs of blowing or burns, some machines when there is a short on the pump blow the circuit on the timer which is the most expensive part to replace best of luck

the washer stopped in the rinse cycle and didn't drain. There are no error codes on the panel. When I try to to run a spin cycle only it will make a couple of beeping sounds like it is starting the cycle, but it will stop at the door lock light coming on. It will do the same no matter which option or cycle chosen.
