SOURCE: HP 2600n can't cancel the last document

SOLUTION!! We have had a 2600n and a 1022n with the same problem as this. Changing the print processor to "RAW" and/or from ZIMFprint to WinPrint did no good in our situation (though I hear it works for Vista clients). We played around with it for several days, researching, testing, trying different methods, and FINALLY - FINALLY! - came across something that worked in both of our situations....

Hopefully, this will work for you as well: On the machine/server where the printer is installed (whether as TCP/IP or otherwise) -- In the printer properties, under the "Ports" tab, you should UNTICK THE BOX for "Enable bidirectional support" -- in other words, you need to disable bidirectional support.

(In case you're wondering, I cannot take credit for this -- I finally found this fix at the following location: http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=916989 ) :)

SOURCE: Need to clear all printing jobs from the printer 4250 HP

It's probably queued up on the computer you're using. If this is Windows or Mac, look for a printer icon toward the bottom-right corner of your screen.

If you don't have it and you're on Windows, click Start: Control Panels: Printers. Find your printer.

Inside the new screen, you should be able to first pause the printer, then cancel all the jobs. You may have to highlight all of them, then right-click to get cancel.

When they're all cleared out, go back to where you paused the printer, then hit Resume printing.

SOURCE: unable to cancel a job

Sounds like the printer spool is frozen.

Assuming you're using WinXP and logged in as an administrator (or with admin permissions)

START
Control Panel
Administrative Tools
Services

Locate the "Print Spooler"
Right click on this and choose "restart"

This will restart the print queue and will probably try to print the job again or delete it properly. If it tries to restart, just right click on the printer job and choose cancel again..

You may need to repeat but that should at least get you back up and running with other print jobs again.

SOURCE: Printer won't stop printing garbage

I had the same problem hooking my old HP Deskjet 812C to a computer running Windows XP with a parallel printer cable. I tried changing the cable to a new printer cable and the printer was immediately detected and installed on reboot. I think my old printer cable might not have been bi-directional.

HP Photosmart 7520 IP: won't connect

Printer offline is a common issue faced by several users. While printing a document, a pop-up notification indicating the printer is offline may be frustrating. No print jobs will execute until you resolve the issue.

If you are also of those users and asking why HP Printer not connecting to Wi-Fi, you got the right screen for the solution.

Read the article for simple instructions on getting your printer back to work.

Why My HP Printer Won't Connect to Wi-Fi?
Receiving an error message on the screen doesn't imply a broken printer.

An offline error suggests that the printer can not communicate with your computer.
Therefore, you must pause all the print jobs and wait until you find the solution.

Check out the reasons that can make your printer offline:
Poor Network Connection
Outdated Printer drivers
Incorrect Printer Settings

Why does my 7520 printer print old documents.

Your computer has "queued" various pages to be printed.
When it detects that it cannot completely complete the output, it restarts the sending of the information to the printer.

From the Windows "Control Panel", select "Printers".
Select your printer. Click to "show what is printing".
From there, you can select an item, and choose to "cancel" it.
