SOURCE: My Toshiba cinema series HD separates the red & blue color.

The most likely cause is shorted convergence chips and possibly a few pico fuses.

These sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the picture to look normal. This is called convergence.

When its out of alignment the video will look 3-D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired. Convergence problems are very common on all Projection TV sets including Sony,Samsung,JVC,Philip Magnavox,Panasonic,Akai,Pioneer Hitachi,Mitsubishi,Zenith and others.
You can get a convergenece repair kit with instructions from the links below.

Here are some of the most common problems with these sets...

Problem #1) Convergence

Yours may have one or more of the following symptoms...

*Screen Looks 3-D
*Colors wont align
*Screen may look distorted or warped
*No Audio/Video - TV Shuts down - May also make a constant chirping sound

Problem #2
Another common problem is dull or washed out video.

Your set may have one or more of the following symptoms....

*Dull looking picture
*White looking picture
*Halos around objects
*Red/Orange looking picture

You can see some more examples and find a fix herebb0cf99.pnghttp://www.fixya.com/support/r2861467-solution_video_looking_whiteish_dull

SOURCE: I have a 65 inch toshiba cinema series it's says

if a large rear projection set that just says HD, it likely is HD ready which means it needs a set top box connected to the Colorstream input marked 1080 on the rear of the set--It will only likely be 1080i and not p---owner manual would confirm this.

Were are the hdmi ports on my toshiba c660d153

Your laptop does not have HDMI port only VGA, you have two choices check if your TV has a VGA port and if it does you can connect the laptop to the tv (you will need a vga cable.) if tv doesnt have VGA connector then you could try finding a USB to HDMI adaptor for example:

How do I connect an HDMI Cable with audio support (mini display port) from my MacBook Pro to my Panasonic HD Plasma (TH-50PZ700U)?

You need a mini display port to HDMI Adaptor, You can either buy an expensive one from apple of a cheap one off ebay as they both do the same job just as well.

No HDMI input socket on Toshiba 'HD Ready' TV

There is an easy way to adapt the cable.

Any good computer shop will have the adaptor.

Take the HDMI cable to them, and tell them you want an adaptor to go to composite signal.

(I know that they're made, many of the graphics cards I use to build computers come with that cable adaptor)

You also might try Best Buy or Radio Shack, but you might not have much luck with them.

Connecting ps3 to cinema system

There is no substitute for HDMI. However, the 'digital in' cable connection that you want to use is still digital and will sound almost exactly the same. The differences are barely noticeable to the human ear. Here is a list for you to see the pecking order of each type of connection.

Audio connections from best to least go in this order:
1. HDMI (digital)
2. Fiber optic (digital)
3. Coax - Digital (digital) <--- The one you want to use.
4. Component (analog)
5. RCA/AV (analog)

Video connections from best to least go in this order:
1. HDMI (full HD digital)
2. Component (Blue, green, red, white, red - HD analog)
3. S-Video
4. RCA/AV (Yellow, white, red)

Good luck!!

Multiple HDMI Sources.

Hey ksmoov,

Adaptors do exist that allow you to connect two devices to the same HDMI port, but keep in mind that as with all adaptors and switches, some signal degradation may occur. The extent of signal degradation encountered does vary from product to product, so I'd suggest using an online search engine to look for reviews on various "HDMI 2-in-1-out" switches and choose the one that you think looks the most reliable.

Hope this helps you out.

Sincerely,
Aaron
