What does blinking out mean? You should be more specific. This can be that the picture is cutting out to snowy noise, meaning that the tuner board has issues or over heating, for example.

If that techniques has or uses a belt driven system it’s possible the belt slipped off or motor failure in the blank blinking light indicates trouble. Please refer to the owners manual and or a schematic of that system, you could probably find it online.
This is a common problem with these models. There is a round heat sensing capacitor that has gone bad. Your TV is probably mounted on a wall and didn't have enough space to cool properly. Remember, modern electronics are like computers... prefer a cool environment. You will need to get the schematic and locate the small round disc shaped capacitor on the main board and replace it using neat, minimalist soldering technique. Do not use a high powered soldering gun... a 25 watt soldering pencil iron will work fine.
This LCD is using a power supply number: MLT168A. The common failure is with defective capacitors in the secondary side and you do not need schematics for this repair. Use the picture below as a reference to find the defective capacitors that show signs of bulging. You might also need to replace 2 capacitors under HS4.
the blinking light signifies to a repair technician with capacitors or circuits are having an issue they can diagnose the problem via the amount of blinks in between pauses however it will require a technician and some specific tools and schematics to fix and it may be cheaper if its no longer under warranty to purchase a new one
I don't know what engine you have but the 3.0 liter is the most common.
