Hi Friend,
We need to upgrade the firmware and configure few wireless settings in order to resolve the issue. Please follw the steps to configure the wireless settings:
1.Open the router settings page (192.168.1.1)
2.Enter username and password(default password is admin and leave the username blank)
3.Click Wireless and fill the section as mentioned
Network Mode-Mixed
Network Name-As per your choice
Radio Band-Auto
Wide Channel-Auto
Standard channel-Auto
SSID Broadcast-Enabled and click Save Settings
4.Click Wireless Security and fill the section as mentioned:
Security Mode-WEP
Encryption-40/64 bits
Key1- 10 digit/ 10 letters(like your telephine number)
and click save settings.
5. Click Advanced Wireless Settings and fill the section as mentioned
Beacon Interval-75
Fragmentation Threshold-2306
RTS Threshold-2307 and click Save Settings
Now please follw the steps to upgrade the firmware of the router:
1. Click the link (
http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/wireless/linksys/)
2.Enter the Model Number of the router and hit enter
3.Click the Download Tab
4.Select the hardware version of the router(Turn the router upside down and below the linksys logo you will see the model number with version)
5.Download the firmware and save it on desktop
6.On the router setup page click Administration and click Firmware upgrade
7.Click browse and select the firmware file from the desktop and click Start Upgrade.
8.Turn off the router for 30 seconds and after 30 seconds turn it on. Try to connect the wireless devices.
