Try a monitor reset. Power off the PC and monitor. Unplug the monitor and hold down the monitor's power button for 30-60 seconds. Plug the monitor back in and then power up the system.

SOURCE: hp w2207h on/off button not functioning

This could be a simple fix. if you can get to the button and sand down the sides slightly - you may have to open the display to get to the button it's self. Also slightly sand the whole, where the button sets.
Good luck.. if this helps in any way, please give me a YES

Hello. I need to know how to disasemble a monitor HP W2207H and where to get the circuit board. The monitor does a humming noise and then it goes blank.

The front bezel prys out of the case after you pop off the plastic rear HP cover and remove the 4 screws that hold the monitor to the base. Be very careful because you can damage the power button circuit and the menu circuit if you are not careful. With the bezel removed the entire screen and circuitry will come out of the back half of the case. These inverter boards are hard to come by. I had to buy my parts from ICCHINA in order to repair mine. You will need to replace not just the cheap Suscon Capacitors but also the Schottky Barrier rectifier, Power Mosfet and transistors (C1815GR) x 2. I would also recommend replacing the 4700 pF Ceramite capacitor at C823 with a 250 volt Cap. You should be good for another year or 2.

Hello how do i get rid of all the viruses in my computer and how do i stop the osd lockout from popping up on my computer

Hi,
You can install and run a combination of anti virus and anti spyware software
http://www.avg.com/us-en/download-trial

Install and run the same.

Press the menu button on the screen, you would default go to OSD menu, move the OSD lock to off mode

My hp w2207h goes to sleep

Sounds like your video card is failing. If the video is internal to the motherboard, get a video card and add it to the motherboard if there is an open video slot available
