Female Ideal Weight - Above Average Height The average height of a woman in the US is 5-foot-4. When considering the weight and height ratio, a 5-foot-5 woman should weigh between 113 and 138, 5-foot-6 between 117 and 143 and 5-foot-7 between 122 and 149. The weight and height ratios continue to increase at approximately 4.5 pounds at the low end and 5.5 pounds at the high end of the range, per inch of height. A 6-foot-tall woman's ideal weight range is 144 to 176 pounds and a 7-foot-tall woman's range is 198 to 242 pounds. Male Ideal Weight -- Under 6 Feet Tall Men have an ideal weight range similar to that of women, but their weights are higher per inch. A man who is 5 feet 11 inches tall has an ideal weight range of 155 to 189 pounds, which is significantly higher than the 140- to 171-pound range for women. Men under 6 feet tall can determine their ideal weight without consulting a height-to-weight ratio table by starting at 5-foot-11 and a weight of 155 to 189 pounds. Simply subtract 5 to 6 pounds per inch from the low of 155 pounds, and 6 to 7 pounds per inch from the high of 189 pounds. Thus, a 5-foot-5 man has a range of 122 to 150 pounds and a 5-foot-tall man has an ideal weight range between 95 and 117 pounds. Are There Ideal Weight and Height Ratios LIVESTRONG COM

All these answers are for square objects. How do I find the measurements of a round object, i.e. a cement mixer?

Hi Debbie:
You still get to use your calculator, but you need to use the mathematical formulae dealing with circles.
Area = pi times r squared
Volume of a cylinder = Area (of one end) times length.

For your cement mixer, (Average the diameter for simplicity)
All of the measurements need to be in the same units, lets use inches, then convert it to cubic feet.....
the volume would be:
pi (22 divided by 7)
times
1/2 diameter
times
1/2 diameter
times
depth

For my ancient mixer that would be:
22 / 7 x 10" x 10" x 22" = 6,914 cubic inches
1 cubic foot equals 12" x 12" x 12" equals 1728 cubic inches.
6,914 divided by 1728 equals 4 cubic feet.

Now we don't fill it right up, but that is its capacity.

Hope that helps.
By the way, my mixer likes 10 shovel fulls of navvy, 2 shovels of type 10 cement, and about 2 quarts of water to get a nice mix.
I do the water first,
then 5 navvy
then 2 cement
then another 5 navvy,
then just enough water to get the right consistency.
Cheerfuls!

Convert 30pounds per sq.foot to pounds per cubic foot(concrete=150#/cubic foot at 1in. thick conc. slab).

These are not the same, so cannot be directly converted.

Pounds per sq ft is a measure of pressure, while lbs / cu ft is a measure of density, weight per unit volume.

I think maybe what you are doing here is converting the weight of concrete in a 1" slab, where a sq ft would contain

1 x 1 x 1/12 = .0833 cu ft

The figure of 150 lb/ cu ft is correct for the average density of concrete, so the above slab would have

1/12 x 150 = 12.5 lbs/sq ft at 1" thickness

BTW that is a thin slab of concrete, insufficient even for a light-duty pathway. If you are referring to a screed for tiling or similar, that is cement.

What is the formula to figure out the pace

(I got this from http://www.livestrong.com/article/93695-set-up-omron-pedometer/)
Step 1

Pace out an area that's long enough for you to take 10 normal steps, in your natural stride, without having to turn to one side or the other. Place a piece of tape at one end of this distance, then stand with your toes flush with the edge of the tape.
Step 2

Carry another piece of tape with you as you walk straight ahead, taking 10 steps (5 with your left foot, 5 with the right). Stop at the end of the tenth step and place the tape flush with the toes of your leading foot.
Step 3

Measure the distance from one piece of tape to the other, in inches, with a measuring tape. Divide this distance by 10 to get your average stride length. If, for example, you walked 290 inches in 10 strides, your average stride length will be 290 / 10 = 29 inches.

One inch is exactly 2.54 centimeters, and there are twelve inches in a foot. Thus five-feet seven-inches is 170 centimeters. (170.18 if you're exactly 5' 7").
