Gosh I am sorry but have NO knowledge Re: Quantum chair chargers but unless you got your chair and equipment from Scooter Store. which got shut down by Feds due to fraud, you might contact chair's supplier and ask about getting a replacement for your destroyed charger's source.
Failing that, does your city/county publish a "throw away" paper? Sometimes one can find powerchair's equipment posted there. That might be worth a try.
I am sorry not to be familiar with Quantum mobility aids! Anybody else, please?

When you say inoperable I am assuming you are not getting a flash code on the joystick. I would check the wiring from the charge meter on the rear? console - you will see a yellow slug in the harness that has a fuse in it - check all the wiring from the meter as this can cause a 'power loss' problem. Of course, check the battery connections as well.

re lucky. They are all made in China very cheaply and some only last a matter of months. If you are on Medicare they will replace the charger if necessary after a year. Good luck, hope this helps

I'd look for a loose connection, one battery bad could be it, but its not likely, you can still move it with low voltage, one low batt., could be joystick. You can get generic trouble codes off your joystick, and call the manufacturer, Pride, 1-800-800-8586.

Your chair voltage REGULATOR may also be going bad which appears to be WITHIN the "Main Brain" of your chair?
"TECO FM-50"

regulator-gkhd23p0qwnavtoilob1hbhw-1-2.jpg From the above schematic ~ there is a "Potentiometer" shown (lower left) that MAY be 'dirty' and needs a tiny squirt of "QUALITY" contact cleaner WITH SILICONE to help keep the internals clean... looks something like this (a Google Search):

I would also spray ALL of your control switches too including the inside of your joystick controls! Just a REAL QUICK squirt should do it... if it drips, you've used too much.

I hope this HELPS YOU!

How do i recharge a dead battery for my quantum motorized wheelchair?

First ensure the battery is completely discharged by using a voltmeter or other suitable method.

If the battery really is dead it should be charged with a suitable known good battery charger for the required time, allowed to stand a few hours and then tested by putting it into use or employing a suitable method of testing.

All disability scooters and electric wheelchairs arrive with a dedicated battery charger which should be used if possible, though these sometimes fail and need replacing. In that case other methods of charging can be employed but purely on a temporary basis as there are safety concerns with battery charging.

If charging the battery does not work, it might need replacing and/or there might be a fault with the wheelchair.

Where are the Quantum 600 Fuses Located?

Ron,
With a gifted power wheelchair, the usual culprit is a pair of dead batteries usually size 22NF deep cycle batteries. The pediatric chair may have U-1 (35 amp hour batteries) There are fusible links connected to both batteries at the + terminal. There are additional fuses under the rear cover in booted holders in the belly area in the rear near the controller. These power take off harnesses are fused but probably do not relate to your primary dead battery problem. Remove the front cover of the base and pull out the battery tray. Remove the batteries, test, and replace.
The owner's manual can be found here. It also includes basic service. Hope this helps.

This should cover it for you. Seems to be a lever under the seat that will then allow you to remove the seat and cover,.

Battery charger on quantum electric wheelchair starts out ember color then starts flashing red I check wires everything is plugged check it about 3 months ago everything was ok now th chair won't

Did you charge it at all during the 3 months? Did you store chair on a full charge? Check to see if batteries are dead. Batteries should be disconnected and/or stored on a full charge. If left connected they should be fully charge every week.
