Yes, this unfortunately is the beginning of the end of the LCD screen, you see the "Driver Circuit Transistors" are starting to go faulty... this is a very common problem, occasionally, it may be the Video card, you will have to "monitor"...(pun intended), the situation. If it continues, as I expect, and lines appear down across, the screen that never go away, and are RED or BLUE or GREEN, then it is most definitely the LCD itself, if however they go away come back in differing places, then it is more likely the Video card. replacement is the only fix sorry. I would wait until it is unbearable before you do anything.

It has been my experience with Sonys that those three colored lines indicate that the set is having trouble with the data communication lines. The hitch is that a model as complex as that one has as many as five seperate clock/data lines and if any one of them goes down the set will exhibit your symptom. It will take a professional to track down which line is causing the problem. I've seen audio output IC's as well as tuners cause the problem.

You have a defective light engine. Contact RCA support. Sometimes they will warranty these even after the 1yr warranty has expired.

If you are confident enough to open screen bezel and take out screen , then the second strap from right of your screen has a bad connection. theses cannot be repaired but as a tempory measure some duct tape across the connections will cure it, else replace the screen.

Is the blue line running straight across the middle of your screen? If so its a vertical deflection problem. Possible bad Vertical output IC
