This mower uses a voltage regulator on top of the engine. The magneto and regulator are usually one assembly.

SOURCE: what kind of oil for a husqvarna riding mower?

Yes Briggs and Stratton recommends sae 30 in most all their engines even overhead valve (OHV)
Kohler uses 10w-30 in most of their overhead valve engines

Briggs has their own bottled oil with their label and additives and can find at lowes
Kohler the same

Husqvarna 500 sewing machine won't power on

I'd put a surge suppressor and voltage regulator ahead of your machine from now on... because I think you've probably got another fried board. With luck, though, it just needs reseating.

I have a hasqavarna yth2148 that only charges when mower deck is disenguaged

It sounds like a voltage regulator.
The PTO/ mower deck is run off of the battery, the regulator should be putting out more voltage when the deck is running. It sounds like it isnt.

The regulator should be mounted on the engine, probably has 2 or 3 wires coming out, yellow, red, etc.
They usually run about 45.00

Husqvarna 2148 - Briggs and Straton 21hp battery will not charge - there is viltage going to the regulator there is voltage going out of the regulator when the battery is disconnected the mower...

The mower stopping with the battery disconnected is normal as the fuel shut off solenoid will lose the voltage required to remain open. Check the battery voltage with the mower not running then check it with the mower running. The voltage should be around 13 to 14 volts with the latter. If not the regulator or the wiring from it is faulty. Regards Phil

My Husqvarna Rose is dead. My husband tried to replace the bulb and it was the wrong one and it wont turn on at all. IS this too a fuse. Where is the fuse on these machines

You can check inside the power supply unit for a fuse, but I think he probably blew a voltage regulator and the power supply will need to be replaced. Contact an authorized Husqvarna Viking repair center.

,when pull the knob to engage blades it doesnt work or they don't

When the tractor has not been run for a hour or so use a meter and check the battery voltage. Then start the machine and check the battery voltage. The voltage should be higher when running. Normally 12.5 to 14vdc. Any higher then your voltage regulator in not working and your cooking your battery. Lower and the charging system is not working. If it has a dedicated alternator then it or it's voltage regulator is bad. Usually the voltage regulator is built in to the alternator and can't be changed by itself. Check your parts manual if one is listed by itself.
