F2-40 doesn't show up in the service manual for the AR-M237 but in other manuals it represents a toner out condition. on color machines it's the black toner. on that model check the toner add motor. the drive gear could be broken or popped out of place ( it's spring loaded ) and can be seen when toner and developer units are removed. hope this helps

Toner problem, remove toner restart copier and reinstall toner. If that doesn't work you may need a new toner.

How do i fix a problem when AR5518 SHARP COPIER DOES NOT VERY WELL AND SHOWS F2,40
It sounds like a defective toner cartridge. You can try removing it and shaking it well and then Reinstalling it. Power the machine off and back on and see if it works. If that doesn't work you can try another toner cartridge. Also if the cartridge is empty and you keep installing it, it will disable the cartridge and the code will come up immediately when that cartridge is inserted.

Sharp ar5516 f2 error
We have bought this machine on Date-28/07/2011 and it is still in warrenty. now already 11,000 copies put it And the now machine shows F2 indication after starting and the company not repairing it. And the after sell service of company is not good.We tell the company to change the the machine or repair and they neither repairing it nor changing the part.

During installation , use sharp ar205 developer and sharp ar021 toner cartridge. This shows you did not use developer or used the wrong ones, good luck.
