Is it a power failure or is the TNPA5335 board faulty?

I got the seven blinks of death. I tried what is advised on the service manual (disconnecting the SU and SD boards from the SC, using the jumper and I got the seven blinks again, which would point to a TNPA5335 board problem). The thing is, I tested, and there is no input voltage on the TNPA5335 board. Since the seven blinks of death means the television is in a protection mode, I juste wanted to know if this protection could prevent the P(MAIN) board to power up some boards (in this case the TNPA5335) or if I could discard a faulty TNPA5335 board and start looking at a power problem, which seems as the most probable cause. I just want to make sure the protection does not deactivate power supply for boards for protection reasons.

As there is LED blinks, the power board is funtioning; and 5V rail is OK. The start-up voltage, that have to come from the main board doesn't. Check for the reason. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" or "Magazine" will make surf easy. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. Do a search by type in the brand name of your device at its search box and press "Enter".

In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a firmware update too might be necessary.

Thank you for your quick reply. I am understanding from your quick reply that the TNPA5335 board should get a start-up voltage, so it seems it is some kind of power failure.
