SOURCE: Bosch dishwasher growling and not draining

Bosh dishwashers work off a gravity pump system. They sometimes require a stronger pump. Make sure if it has a air gap either at the top of the sink or johnston T or in the wall that, that is not plugged. They are very sensitive to how the drainelines are set as well. If it was installed prfessionally, call the installer back out as they should warranty there install for 1 year. Also all products have a 1 year MF warranty as well. You should be able to get a BOSH tech out at NO charge to see if it is a deffective pump.

When started, dishwasher making growling (hungry stomach) noise before filling with water

That would be your pump priming, however I would check the sump or filter in the bottom sometimes they get debris caught in them. Some have a filter others have a screen.

New Bosch Ascenta dishwasher - motor drive @10kHz produces unbearable high-pitched whine.

The 10KHz noise you here is from the motor drive circuit that feeds the motor on the right side close to the front. I placed a near field probe all around the DW and determined that there are significant emissions coming from this area. What does this mean? It means that the circuit was not designed properly. Experience leads me to believe that it may not cause physical damage but it can be corrected and Bosch needs to do so. I prepared a report for them. Rest assured this is not related to a bearing or the actual movement of a mechanical device, like a motor. It is caused by the circuit that makes the motor move.

Bosch dishwasher srs45e02. when I turn it on there is a loud growling noise for a while then it turns itself off. any ideas please. I think it could be the pump. thanks any help.

you could be correct as the proceedure for all dishwashers when started is a pumping phase to make sure no excess water is still in unit.. when finished water then flows in..

Has made a growling noise (water) since it has been installed. has to do with water pressure? I installed it, old one made no noise

While filling? If while running, make sure there is nothing in water return area that might be touching the pump blades. Didn't misplace a screw while installing it did you? I have......

If while filling, you can slow the water down by closing the valve to the supply line, only turn it a little at a time so you keep flow as high as possible but below noise causing flow.

FRIGIDAIR DISHWASHER FILLS WITH WATER BUT IN THE WASH CYCLE GROWLS AND WON'T WORK

Could be the wash pump or wash pump capacitor, that would often give a growling noise when trying to work

Diswasher Leaked, now Won't Work

if you see a float inside of the dishwasher make sure its cleaned well.that float tells the control board when to drain and to fill with water.the symptom you descibe tells me its trying to drain, make sure the float moves freely.if you dont have a float you will see a metal probe clean that up as well.try this and if it doesnt fix the sensor may be part of the drain body and it has failed(leaking).
