The most common way is unplug the power cable for 5 minutes.

Screen freezes, reciever reboots

Hi there Richard! My name is Kimberly and I form part of the Social Media Department with DISH. It is my pleasure to help you with this matter. Please try resetting the receiver by unplugging it from the wall for 10 seconds. Plug it back in, allow it to power on by itself, acquire signal and download the guide. If issue persists please feel free to reach me at: [email protected] for further assistance.

Satellite dishes wen down during storm. Attempting to find signal. SDHBH box is unresponsive. Is there a hard reset procedure?

Yes,unplug, replug the box back like about an hour later. The box, will reboot and updated it software. The incomming broadcasting signal should be back.If not storm, did more damages to the LB reciever connected on the dish itself.Must call Dish Network to check it out, might have to replace it.

Receiver taking a long time to transmit reciever

I assume that the HDMI works fine if you go directly from the dish receiver to the TV with either HDMI cable. And try it with a different source (DVD or x-box) in the same input port.

Take it to a Radio Shack there service centers can repair Onkyo in warranty. Most Onkyo receivers carry a two year warranty.
