sometimes its not the connections... but its the toggle switches at fault

ok! change all tact switches! your tact switch has abnormal resistance! thats why your tv is changing system!

Are you technically inclined ? If you are then you may want to check for cold solder connections on your driver transformer.

When the picture gets smaller that means the high voltage being applied to the picture tube is failing. The flyback transformer and the horizontal output transistor are the likely parts that fail. Power supply capacitors that have domed tops are suspect too. Parts and labor for a TV that old may surpass the price of a new TV.

Rca 27v412t tv picture only in middle of sceen
It is the fault with some components related with its horizontal scan output section circuit. Just check the circuit part; and check the components I've marked in red here by its horizontal scan output circuit. Beware; you're going to touch the most dangerous part of its circuit. Keep it in mind always.

same here same model-
Been in the shop since Oct 07 and part (keyboard) has not come in as of today 1-09-08 NO Parts being made.
