If it is pure yellow I would look at the yellow imaging unit (drum) to make sure that it is ok. That is likely the culprit if changing the toner did not resolve the problem.

Incorrect Yellow

Are U installed specified yellow cartridge? Chk with old cartridge & chk for the message.. Same error? there is a mechanical issue, carousel unit might be misaligned..To align it technical skills required, better go to the nearest service center.
If different error replace with another cartridge.

    I have a sc532 error code on a Lanier 5228 copier. What it means? How can I reset the machine?

    Try to press these bottons one right after the other... The yellow "C" then the numbers 1 >0 >7 then press and hold the "Clear/Stop" botton till the display changes. Then turn the Main power switch OFF then back ON... I Believe the error code deals with the fixxing unit. If it clears, you may have a power problem in your outlet

    Error message 10.92.03 in hp 3800n

    Yellow cartridge isn't seated correctly. After reseating it and it still gets the error, try swapping the yellow and black cartridge. If the error changes to 10.92.00 then the yellow is bad. if the error stays the same...something is broken, probably the "cartridge lock" for the yellow.

    Canon iP4200 thinks it has two yellow ink catridges installed

    I have had this happen a couple of times to me with a few cartridges so if you can be sure it's just the black that has changed then I'd contact your retailer and request a replacement under warranty.

    The only other way to solve this is by process of elimination using some other cartridges. If you know of someone else with a similar printer model that uses the same cartridges then perhaps ask nicely :)

    It won't print after install yellow toner cartridge

    Remove the "Yellow Cartridge"
    Check you have removed all the plastic packaging and tape on it
    If you haven't do this and try again

    Second
    -----------
    If you have the old empty cartridge put it back in and see if you get the same error, if you do it eliminates the problem being the yellow cartridge and you have another problem with the printer
