Trying to replace toner in a savin 9922dp. install the toner cartridge, copier runs like it is loading the toner but then the error message to replace toner appears again (over and over)

take the toner out - whilst the green handle is up (this will get your hands dirty) feel inside for a left over cap from a previous toner. remove it and put your new toner in. this should sort it

Savin 9927dp photoconductor ?

THE MAINTENANCE PROMPT COULD BE TURNED OFF BUT THAT IS AGAINST THE MANUFACTUREERS RECOMENDATION. THE PCU
WOULD LAST A LITTLE LONGER BUT IT WILL START DUMPING TONER AND DEVELOPER IN TRAY1 IF IT ISNT ALREADY THAT JUST ADDS TO THE CLEANUP TIME AND COST THE PCU WAS DESIGNED TO MAKE 60,000 PAGES.

PRINTED PAGES ARE BLANK AFTER REPLACING PHOTOCONDUCTOR

The machine should automatically recognize the new PCU. Blank copies would lead me to think you have further problems, charge corona? transfer issues? If you try to make a copy and open the front door real fast when the paper should be at the transfer unit, is there an toner image showing on the drum? If yes, then you have charge but not getting transfer. This is a hard problem to troubleshoot without seeing machine. Anyway good luck, please rate this. Thanks ..... Wait... just had a thought. On the shaft, on the inside of the rear frame, that drives the drum there is a coupling that is spring loaded. Sometimes the shaft gets gunked up and coupling does not pop out not connecting to the PCU, which could cause blank copies and will still say replace pcu. You could add a couple of drops of oil to that shaft to loosen it up if that's the case.

AFTER PHOTOCONDUCTOR REPLACED PAGES ARE BLANK

IF you replaced the entire PCU, make sure you pulled the plastic tabs from the unit and removed the protective paper from the drum area. I don't remember if the new PCU comes with developer pre-installed.
If you replaced the drum/developer, it is common for the lower developer unit drive gears to wear down and break off some of their teeth.

Hope this helps.
