it means that you need to synchronize your music instead of just highlighting it and pressing copy. It shows up when you have done that and it would play the song until you do what is above.

You need to use the sansa media converter program that came with the sansa on the CD. This is used for photos and for video. The supported files are listed on the screen once you open it.

you can change the usb mode in the sansa player settings to MCS then connect it to the computer, in windos xp the device will be recognized automacally. go to the explorer or to my pc and you should see it there.. go to the folder music and delete what you want,, you can copy music as well.
then desconect it safely and restart the device,, It will refresh the database and that's it.
you can change the USB mode bac to MTP if you wish.

and then transfer them to your Sansa player. Sansa Media Converter offers
features such as cropping, rotating, and resizing before transferring them to your
player as well as the ability to transfer photo and video files to your microSD card.
Refer to the Sansa Media Converter software for file formats supported.
To transfer photos and videos to your Sansa player, follow these steps:
1. Connect the Sansa player to your computer.
2. Select Converter using Sansa Media Converter on initial connection.
3. Click Add Media to select photo or video files to be converted.
4. The Sansa Media Converter will store all converted files in My Album. Click
the Album Name box and type in the name you want.
5. Click to start the conversion process. A status box will appear
showing which file(s) are being converted.
