How do you change the water filter housing in a whirlpool fridge freezer model number 858615815040

I have a GE Profile Perfomance Model 22 ( TN22PRCBRBS)..I`ve had it for 11 years and I`ve noticed a leak developing from my ice maker onto the base of the freezer..I`ve had to chisel the ice that continously forms everyother day..I checked to see if I could investigate but I can`t get to the source ,which is the water line connecting to the ice maker itself..Any suggestions?

Leak just stopped on its own. No idea why.

Make sure that the water filter is the right one and that it is pushed all the way in. If that is correct than There should be two solenoids located behind the fridge at the bottom one is for your ice and one for water. Unplug unit and test the water solenoid with an ohm meter across the two terminals if it ohms out or beeps than your solenoid is bad.

Resetting your "change filter" light:

• Press the light switch (the one that the refrigerator door presses every time you close the door) 5 times within 10 seconds. OR
  
• If the fridge has a filter button, press and hold it for 5-10 seconds.

The drain is clogged. Remove freezer plate and pour a mixture of baking soda and warm water down drain.
