Samsung hp t5054 light comes on but it has no pic, sound and does not click when plugged in

If the front led is lit, the TV is on standby. Did you place the batteries in the remote correctly?

you have faulty capacitors in the power supply. I repaired an exact model two months ago with the same problem. Shouldn't cost much for a shop to repair. If you have a friend or family member who can solder, you can fix it for under $10

SOUNDS LIKE THE POWER SUPPLY HAS GONE OUT, NEEDS TO BE REPLACED- FAIRLY COMMON PROBLEM.

check the power inverter on the power strip. also check the caps on the board and if any of those caps have a round top it is bad and needs to be replaced. i hope this helps.

samsung boards are around $200 EACH , usually a bad buffer burns out the Y board , buit yours sounds like a burn power suppy, do a visual of the PS, if looks ok ck for the VA and VS voltages (there is a tag with the values on it) . if the VA or VS is low or missing you will probably need the Y and both Y buffers.
