The screen cable could be damaged around hinge area.
Try to connect an external screen (PC monitor or TV screen) via VGA port to see if you get any image.

This sounds like your picture in picture feature is enabled or turned on. There is a button on the .ca remote that says pip or you may find it under the menus
I've also had a popping noise on our 50" LG plasma TV, however the picture has not gone, but has turned grainy and colors are weird. Can this also be a blown fuse or a more severe problem (ysus board or similar)?
If the screen is just showing white screen, no text, no picture, then the problem cam be in the LCD controller board. I would get this fixed under warranty ASAP, nothing should have gone wrong yet. You may have a lemon, this is not a no name set.
your T-con board has failed you need to have a tech take a look because there are so many differant lcd panels use in the same model he or she will have to do the rearch inside the set by getting the genaric number off the lcd panel
I have a flat screen polaroid lcd hdtv model 3700, first the sound started to get really loud with a beeeeeeeeep when we turned on and after a while was gone, now it doesnt! we had to put mute and connect the tv to a sorround system to hear it without that crazy noise, and now the colors of the tv are gone too its just black and white when we try to see the dish satelite but if we put a movie on the dvd player colors are perfect we try to conect the ps3 player too but its black and white too. Help what can it be!!!!????
Do you have the same problem when you turn on the SP without a game in it?
Try turning on the system without a game inserted, and if it shows the Gameboy logo, the system is fine, and the game might be bad. If there is only a white screen, then the screen might have gone bad. Post results here when done. :)
