The card is used only for still photos. it can capture photos at a low resolution 640x480 - so not a substitute for a 3mp camera, but useful if you need to get some stills in for reference or on screen only use.

Do JVC GR-D33US Mini DV record video on memory card?

Yes. You can use any MMC or SD card. Be sure you get an SD card, not an SDHC card, if you go this route.

How do i get a charger for jvc digital camera (GR-D371U) and how much does it cost?

Uncle_ed99:

From page 12 of the user manual for this camcorder (click here for user manual), the part numbers for the power supplies that work with this camera are AP-V14U and AP-V18U.

You can buy it from the JVC USA Store web site (click here) and it costs $34.20.

Thanks for using FixYa.

This model can accept SD card for up to 2GB only. You may be have more than 2GB card, otherwise there is an internal problem with your camera that needs repair. Hope this helps

Video down load

if you are using a desktop, you require a an addon card called IEEE 1394 firewire card, which you have to install it on your motherboard's PCI slot, then using the firewire cable which you get along with the card should be connected to the card and DV port of the camera, then using the MOVIE MAKER software of windows XP, you can download the video.

JVC GR-D370 Mini DV Digital Camcorder

Usually when the recording is started it takes around 10 to 15 seconds for the camera to recognise and display the duration of remaining tape, if you feel there is a problem, try using different brand tape.
