You have a problem with your internal hot water heater which for most folks ( the vast majority who can not take apart a coffee maker and change its internal components) this means that your coffee maker is dead

There is nothing wrong with your unit, This is not a problem. There is no burner at all. This is a thermal carafe unit that does not require a burner to keep the coffee hot, but rather it's the thermos like quality of the carafe that keeps the coffee hot.

SOURCE: my black and decker coffee maker will not turn on to brew coffee

All coffee-makers are provided with a thermal fuse located near the heating element and in series with the element itself.

This device is bullet-shaped with one lead connected to the case, the other insulated from it.

If there was no protection of this kind, it could lead to a fire if the heating element fails to get turned off when reaching its design temperature and nearly impossible to buy as a replacement part.

These are not user replaceable and both the thermal fuse and the bimetal switch that controls the current for the heating element have become increasingly less reliable as they are made in China and since we have little alternative, we have to either keep track of our warranty or just throw it away when it fails.

The fuses can fail at any time and I have brought back three coffee-makers in a five day period, all with the same failure, before giving up and getting a refund.

Another type of failure, namely of the bimetal switch occurs over time and reveals itself by the ever-longer brew time that is unaffected by dissolving the lime in the system.

The heat sensitive metal switch part becomes gradually less responsive causing the machine to just cough instead of pump as when new.

The last one I tossed had reached 40+ minutes per pot.

SOURCE: black and decker spacesaver coffee maker

There are two heat stages in the Spacesaver. One is the carafe heater you can see while the other is an assembly within the main housing. This assembly contains a heater, thermostat, and a section of metal tubing with high temperature silicon connectors at each end. when the water storage tank is inserted it fills the heated section of the tube and when activated the water boils as it passes through the one way valve and forces the water into the coffee container. This steam driven surge repeats until all water has been moved to carafe. There are several failure modes associated with this assembly an I have two. 1. is the heater opening which I have and 2. is the thermostat degrading causing incomplete transfer and ultimately no transfer because it brings the temp down prematurely. Another is crud on the check valve so many problems - no solutions

SOURCE: kitchenaid coffee pot won't brew coffee reads err2

An ERR 2 may be cleared by a simple reset of the coffee maker. This means unplugging the unit and plugging it back in. When powered back on, select a brew function to see if the error reappears.

If it does reappear, ERR 2 indicates an internal error with the computer of the warming plate. This may be covered under Kitchenaid's 1 Year Hassle Free Warranty. I would advise you to call Kitchenaid Customer Service to see what options are available to you. Repair is not recommended, as it is not cost effective for the company or the consumer.

Their toll-free telephone number is 1-800-541-6390.

What can I do if my 12 cup black and decker coffee maker wont brew. Power is on

These devices are unfortunately made cheaply these days. If it is fairly new, say within 6 months, contact the manufacturers customer support line (found on documents or their website) and they often just ship you a replacement.
Otherwise, if the water is not coming out and spilling over, make sure that the release in the brew basket is opening when the pot is placed under it. Some of them stick and then the coffee overflows.

My black and decker coffee pot wont brew everything seems to be fine all the lights and the clock work but when i push on it wont start brewing

There is a momentary contact switch that is probably. You gran get one at the mfr. or maybe locally. When you press the brew button, you should hearing it engage . That would be a sound and a click like something has connected. If there is no sound, then your momentary contact switch is bad. Not too expensive. Probably a 5-10 minute job.

My black & decker coffee machine stop brewing coffee, sound like is going to keep working but is not .

Does the display work? Does the platter heat up when it is turned on to brew? If yes to both, this string might address the problem. Email me at the posted address if you need the part.

If the display works and the platter heats up when it is turned on to brew, this might be the problem and solution. Please read both (scroll).

My Black and Decker Spacemaker coffee Maker will not turn on. Pluged-in and will not turn on. Recently replaced the recalled coffee filter brew basket.

We had this same problem and it turned out that the inside if display and circuit board caught on fire and melted inside. File a report with the USCPSC and call Black and Decker. They are sending us a new model free of charge but they are also telling me to send them the coffee pot free of charge wtih postage paid. I refuse to do this for 30 days because the Consumer Product safety commission wants me to keep it for 30 days to investigate

Black & Decker TCM800 won't go all the way through brewing cycle

I have the TCM700 and it would turn off before the brew completed.  This was because it had some sort of buildup from use.  The manual recommended to brew with white vinager and water.  The exact mix was in the manual, but my wife just did all vinager.  Worked great.
