SOURCE: water is dripping from inside

Window AC's mut be installed with the back slightly lower than the front to allow the condensate (water) to drip outside

SOURCE: Have 5000BTU Goldstar window unit. Water dripping

the bottom of the case from the outside usually has a "divot" in it below the coil to allow flow from the hose that runs across the bottom of the unit, try pressuring up and "blowing out" any obstruction, if this does not work then you may have to disassemble the unit and verify the drainpan is not cracked below the indoor coil (rare)

SOURCE: where is the drain hole

Hello, make sure the unit is tilted toward the outside a bit, if it is level the condensate will collect in the front and start dripping inside the house. Also, if the unit has a drain make sure it is clean so the water can drain out properly.

How do i deal with the dripping of water from my Mitsubiishi split system from inside unit? Will putting the unit on 19 and then turning it full bore clear over condensing?

NO
the water is condensation from the humidity in the air turning to water on the cold evaporator core
normally it drips into a tray and drains away outside
if it is inside ( running down the walls it indicates
the drain hole and tube is blocked or the evaporator core is covered in gunk and holding the water up and not dripping where it is designed to
Call an accredited ac specialist shop to clean the fins and drain tube

The top of the inside of my 2002 Whirlpool refrigerator Model ET1FTK (top mount)is frozen and is dripping onto the first shelf.

Hello,

The cause of that drip is going to be a blocked defrost drain in the freezer and the water from the defrost is pooling up in the freezer then when it can't hold anymore it's dripping through the vent in the ceiling of the refrigerator onto the shelfs. By removing the back wall of the freezer you could find the drain on the bottom of the freezer coil. By GENTLY peircing that frozen drain at a 45 degree angle until a small hole is formed in the built up ice it could be totally flushed using warm water once a small opening is made in the ice in the drain.

My unit is dripping water from the right corner inside the room. any solution suggestions? Thanks

Two things can cause the problem you having:

The drain hole in the bottom of the rear of the drip pan is clogged an/or the rear downward tilt of the unit is not enough. The general rule of thumb for rear downward tilt is 1/4" to 1/2". This allows the water to flow freely to the rear and out thru the drain hole.

Hope this helped you & thanks for choosing FixYa.

I recently noticed that my GE window airconditioner has been leaking on the inside of my window. It has cause my new wooden windsill to turn black from the condensation dripping onto the sill. I did not...

Actually, you may have two issues. The drain hole may be clogged and the rear of the unit may not have enough downward tilt, to allow the water to flow to the rear of the drip pan and ultimately out thru the drain hole. The general rule of thumb is 1/4" to 1/2" rear downward tilt.

As far as the drain hole is concerned, it can be hard to find at times. Because the clog will often times blend in the drain hole. Patience & persistence are required in locating it. A pipe cleaner works well to clear the clog.

Troubleshooting the above should help to solve the problem. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

My 5200 wall air conditions works fine but leaking water on lower left corner down my wall inside my house. Already cleared outside drain hole and is dripping but can't reach or see the inner drainage...

The outer drain hole is the only one that needed to be cleared. But, keep and eye on it, as there may be some floating debris in the drip pan. You said the unit is angled enough at the rear. So, I'm assume you have at least 1/4" to 1/2" downward tilt at the rear of the unit. If that's the case, for now, that's about all you can do. Unless you have a Wet/Dry Shop Vac. In which case you could **** the water out of the drip pan after removing the front panel of the unit. If you attempt this, be sure the Master ON/OFF switch on the unit is OFF and the unit is unplugged.

Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Is there a drain hole for the model hwfo5xcb it's dripping on the floor?

This unit MUST slope downwards towards the outside, then condensation water will drain outside, rather than inside.

Why is there water dripping from the air con?

The most probable cause is a clogged drain line.
Also ensure your air filter and the evaporator coils are clean.

Water is dripping out of the indoor unit on to the floor unit had only been turned on for about 1/2 hr this happened about a week ago but after cleaning the filters problem seemed to go away has now...

Hi
Check if the water drain pipe is not blocked. Or if the water drain pipe is not sloping downward away from the the unit. Or if the inside unit is level or slightly tilted to the side of the water drain pipe.
