Re: magnavox error codes
Check this
The Service Default Mode (SDM) is a technical aid that can be used to display the your TV error code.
Follow these instrutions exactly to place your set in SDM Mode.
For sets that still have video do the following.
Turn your TV on
Using the original Philips TV remote press the following keys. Press each key for 1 sec then press the next.
From the remote press 0 6 2 5 9 6 MENU
You should now see the letters "SDM" in the far right hand corner.
If not do step "3' again.
To display the error code hit the "Status" button on your remote.
The TV can store up to "7" past errors.
For sets that have no video do the following.
Turn your TV on
Using the original Philips TV remote press the following keys. Press each key for 1 sec then press the next.
From the remote press 0 6 2 5 9 6 MENU
Wait a few seconds. The red power light should begin to blink.
The blinking sequence will determine the error code.
You will have one long 5 second red blink followed by the error code.
Note: On some sets the TV will automaticaly blink the error code when its powered up without having to go into the SDM menu. If you power light blinks after the set is powered up jot down the sequence.
Example Error Codes from the power light.
( RED 5 Seconds ) off ( RED 1/2 Sec ) off ( RED 1/2 Sec ) off ( RED 1/2 Sec ) = Error Code 3
Example #2
( RED 5 Seconds ) off ( RED 1Sec ) off ( RED 1/2 Sec ) off ( RED 1/2 Sec ) = Error Code 12

The Wii wants to do a system update, but isn't letting you connect because your Wii is not updated. Catch 22.... Anyway, go to the connection settings it prompts you to, choose your connection one, save, then test. Should work now, and will prompt you to do a system update.
Ok, if it drains the battery, there is a short somewhere. Exactly where, that will be your job to find. The big question is if you used a wiring harness or hardwired your radio. If you hardwired it, you are experiencing the problems that come from it. If you have the stock harness, make sure it is in place (even if you have to reverse work already done). Purchase a wiring harness. This will make sure the correct wires are hooked and won't fry your electrical system. And the remote wire should be blue. Hope this helps.
I recommend getting a wiring harness. If you "hardwire" this radio, you risk frying your electronics. Unless you want to spend about $2500 for new vehicle electronics. Good luck
This error is caused by not configuring the internet connection settings of the Wii console.
To solve thie error: Complete the setup process to connect your Wii to your home network.
are you trying to play via wireless internet? if so you might not be getting a strong signal. if possible buy a ethernet to usb adabter for the wii. you can get them at bestbuy or anyother major electronic store. but you usually cant find them at walmart. this will guarantee a strong internet conection
is the head unit hardwired to the battery or to the original harness?? if it is hardwired to the harness detatch it and hard wire it to the batter with a toggle switch under the das that way it will bypass anythign that oculd be cousing a short regular 20 gauge wire will do the trick just make sure that you ground it to something on the frame not the engin or the battery return if it is already hardwired check the connections for the face of the head unit{ that is if it is a removable face if not it stumps me
For starters you could hardwire your laptop to any of the 4 ethernet ports on the router then check if you have internet connection that way, now to connect wirlelessly you need to check if there is any wireless security enabled on the router, since your already hardwired to the router you can access the configuration page of the router by typing http://192.168.0.1 on the address bar or Internet Explorer, Firefox or Safari. When you are prompted for a username and password just type Admin for the username and leave the password blank. Now you will see the setup page of the router, select if you want to run the setup wizard or choose manual setup for configuration. On the left hand side you will see three option, Internet, Wireless Settings and Network.
Sorry, you must have a harness. No harness, no power. Unless you try to hardwire the unit, but that would mean you have to solder wires to the inside of the player and take out the jack for the harness. A very dangerous thing to do. It could cause a fire if not done perfectly. Without knowing what kind of player it is, model number and make, nobody can tell you how to hardwire it.
