I need to install windos xp prof but i've lost that cd whose product key no: RV2YP-RFF8M-LQWTM-RTKHY-RMMYY. so i badly need windows xp prof & drivers for Toshiba TECRA 8,model no:PTA83L-02F014,Serial...

Check your Windows label that has the product installation code printed on it. On the label it will also have the XP version number it will be X08, or X10 or X11 etc.
You can use any Windows XP installation CD PROVIDED the CD Part No. matches the X08 or X10 or X10 version that is printed on your product label.
If you install XP using the wrong version CD then the installation process will not accept your product installation code and Windows will not install.

I have window 7 64bit and the keyspan software installed fine but the server utility does not recognize the print server. I allowed port 3842 tcp and udp through the windows firewall but still no luck.

for key span server to work with windows 7 install windows xp mode to windows 7 ( this can be downloaded from microsoft website if you have windows 7 pro and above. if you have windows 7 home then install windows virtual pc, start it up and insert a windows xp pro install disk. for info on this google 'workaround to install windows xp mode in windows 7 home premium and home basic') Once you have windows xp mode running, install the keyspan server utility int he virtual machine and setup as usuall. then share the printer. go to windows 7 devices and printers and add a printer, chose a network printer, select the new virtual machine and select the shared printer. In order for the printer to work just start up the keyspan program from windows 7 and print....your welcome.
