SOURCE: When garden hose is connected to the pressure

Dear radcongirl,
Try removing the high pressure hose from the machine. Then connect the water hose and see if water comes out of the outlet.( you can also try this by putting on the machine for a few seconds). If water comes out of the outlet, then you have a problem in the high pressure hose or the wand and trigger. Check also the lance and nozzel for blockage.
I do not know what kind or model of machine you have, but most machines the water always comes out of the outlet when water is fed to the inlet. In bigger machines this cannot happen because they have a reserve tank.
Regards,
Fulltech.

SOURCE: Honda excell pressure washer does not have pressure

if the machine is running on suction, ie sucking out of a barrel there may be an air leak on the suction hose or pump. it will pull air easier than pulling water .

put the machine under mains water pressure, hose pipe straight from tap to pump.
check all around the pump and inlet pipes for leaks.
if water leaking this needs rectifiying for it to work on suction.
run the pressure washer while on mains pressure with the hose on, does this make a difference?

if not then probably the unloader is stuck in the pump head. remove unloader , clean and replace it
parts breakdowns are available on the internet for your machine.

possibly valves stuck, or the valve springs have broken, seen this quite few times on these machines. if so replace springs .

These sort of machines do not last very long anyway, about 50 hours use if your lucky.

Black and decker electric power washer nothing coming out of wand all water coming out trigger.

Either the pressure tip or wand are blocked or the valve in the trigger is broken. Remove the high pressure tip and either try another tip or pull the trigger without a tip on the wand to see if you have the same problem. If available, try another pressure gun on the hose.

I have a Briggs & Stratton Pressure Washer it was just working Fine THEN the water stopped coming out of the wand? Any Suggestion

Remove the tip and pull the wand trigger without the tip in. If water comes out then your tip is clogged. Clean the tip and reinstall. Or try a different tip.

Its also possible that there is a kink in the supply hose to the unit.

Try these first, it should solve the problem about 90% of the time

My Snap-On 2000 PSI pressure washer is leaking through the trigger handle. I have no pressure coming out of the wand but the motor runs.

The fitting for the trigger is cracked. It happened to mine because I did not make sure the wand and hose was drained before winter came. The water left in the wand expanded and cracked the trigger housing. The problem is that the trigger piece is easily replaceable, but it is not available. Alltrade makes you buy the complete wand.

Hi, W/D here.
Leave the water on, and hold the trigger down for about 5 minutes to get all of the air out of the system. Letting off of the trigger occasionally and then opening it up will help displace any air in the chambers. While still holding the trigger down, start the washer. Should put up your desired pressure.

Washer has low pressure. but can see pressure build up in hose. then when squeez triger motor stops.

Hello, W/D here.

Sounds like it may be air locked. Connect the hose to the washer. Connect the wand and hose to the washer. Open the supply water, and hold down the trigger on the spray wand. Be patient, this can take several minutes.
Now crank the washer.

Ex-Cell VR2500 Builds Pressure but Won't Spray

I have a similar problem and diagnosed it to be a problem with the gun. I spoke to a technician that services this pressure washer and he walked me through all the diagnostic steps. The pump is working because there is pressure being built up and the gun sort of works because you can get water out before the washer is started. The technician said that the mechanism inside the gun is either clogged or broken. I am going to Home Depot or Lowes to purchase a new gun and will try it tonight. Guns are only about $30-40. He said generic is fine as long as the thread matches and PSI is in range. Good luck!

Power washer problem no pump action

sounds like nozzle is blocked.small bits of grit jam nozzle unscrew and make sure its clear turn water on and pull trigger to see if gun trigger works, then refit nozzle check again for spray.if clear start up and try out.if no go then pump probably needs cleaning and relubing seals.
