If the batteries wore down so much that the till lost or corrupted its memory, it will need to be memory reset and reprogrammed from scratch.

How do I fix a Warning Power Fail on my Sam4 ER-390M cash register?

If your Sam4 ER-390M cash register is displaying a "Warning Power Fail" message, it means that the register has detected a power outage or an interruption in the power supply. Here are some steps you can take to fix this issue:
  1. Check the power supply: Ensure that the cash register is properly plugged into a working power outlet. If the power supply is shared with other devices, make sure that they are not causing any power surges or fluctuations.
  2. Check the battery backup: The Sam4 ER-390M cash register comes with a built-in battery backup that can keep the machine running in case of a power outage. Check the battery backup to see if it is functioning correctly. If the battery backup is not working, it may need to be replaced.
  3. Reset the cash register: Turn off the cash register, unplug it from the power source, and wait for a few minutes. Then, plug it back in and turn it on. This will reset the cash register and may resolve the issue.
  4. Contact customer support: If none of the above steps work, you should contact Sam4 customer support for assistance. They can provide further guidance on how to resolve the issue.
It's worth noting that if you experience frequent power outages or power supply fluctuations, it can cause problems with the cash register's electronic components. In such cases, you may need to consider using a voltage stabilizer or a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) to protect your cash register and other electronic equipment.

The decimal point wont work on my Royal Alpha 1000ML Cash Register. I enter 2.50 sale and the . wont work. so if i dont type the . sale enters as 250 dollars

I haven't worked with this model but loss of decimal point usually indicates a low battery causing memory loss. If it has replaceable batteries, try new ones. Note do not turn the machine off while replacing batteries. It needs the power on to hold memory while changing them. Other than that, a few models allow you to program the point position (most must be memory cleared and reprogrammed). If you need a manual, the big supplier checkout tech has it here https://the-checkout-tech.com/manuals/cashregisters/Royal_Alpha-1000ML_operation_and_programming_manual.html

Adding new PLU problem keep getting PLU Program Error

Those machines have a memory allocation section where you need to define the file sizes for products, etc. If your file size is smaller than the machine you are copying from, then it wont work. Try setting the memory allocation first.

My sharp ER_3100 wont operate it shows 00000000

The ER-3100 has a memory-protection battery soldered to the main board. It charges whenever the register is on, and when the register is off, it can hold the totals and programming for over a month.
But the ER-3100 is about 20 years old, and you battery has lost its ability to hold a charge. You need to have the battery replaced and the entire machine's memory cleared, then programmed. Don't do it. You need a new cash register. All the replacement machines are much cheaper, much faster, and much quieter than your old ER-3100.

Casio 230ER - will still register sales but wont produce X/Z readings. Is there a battery pack that needs replacing?

If the machine is working in REG mode, then it should produce reports as well. If you turn the key to Z mode and press CASH, what happens? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If anyone needs more information, the Casio 230ER user and programming manual is here: http://the-checkout-tech.com/manuals/cashregisters/Casio_230ER_operation_and_programming_complete_manual.html

Replaced batteries in sky remote now it wont work

Have you got the batteries in the right way round? There is a + and or - sign to indicate which end they should be. Failing that the batteries are defunct. If this is the case put the old ones back in until you get some replacements.
