SOURCE: LG C1500 phone is stuck on headset mode and no headset is in it.
PERSISTANCE IS KEY!
My Palm Centro sat in a small
puddle for a few seconds, and the only thing that was wrong was that it
was, like every other poster here: Stuck in Headset mode. For 3 days I
read posts / forums all over the place, getting similar ideas about
inserting/pulling out the speaker cord rapidly / soft or hard resetting
/ pulling out at a certain point etc etc.
The real
problem was that inside the 2.5mm jack there is a little microswitch
that enables / disables the headset function, and if it gets stuck
open- nothing can override it. --- Again --- 3 full days of twisting,
pulling out, screwing with the jack and wasn't able to get anything out
of it- was about to say screw it.
THE ANSWER!!! -- I
read somewhere that using a Qtip could increase my chances of snagging
the switch down; I doubled my odds and sprayed the **** out of it with
WD-40 (with the fore-idea that the switch got all gunked up and is
stuck in the open position)
--To test it out, start
playing a music file or anything that should originally go through the
main speaker (or just call your Voicemail)
-- I got the tip wet with the wd-40, and since I have a 2.5mm
jackport (not even the qtip stick fits in the hole) I started twisting
the cotton off of the stick into an elongated portion of the wet
cotton; long enough to fit in the port. I stuck it in (twisting in the
same fashion as the twisted cotton) and just started twisting. About a
minute worth then I yanked out and-- WaLaa! MUSIC
Only
thing that worked in 3 days; I figure the individual cotton strands
snagged on the thing and pulled it down, although I contribute it
finally moving to the WD-40.

Turn your phone off and remove the battery. Also tap the headset port (where a headset would normally plug into).
When you reboot it back up it should fix itself. If it doesn't you have a hardware problem (its physically broken) you can see if its under its 1 yr warranty to get your free replacement, or if its older - there's always cell phone insurance.

that is because they have shut ur service off that has happened to me a couple ao times,a nd they will replace it if u ask them to -but i think its like 35 bucks
