Konica 6500./6501/5500/5501/6000 printer 2840 problem/error

Solution...this problem is due to color correction unit PGC Sensor. While reading the maximum density this problem has occurred. This centre sensor is also called Gamage sensor.
It is situated at the top left side opposite to Image transfer belt unit for reading the patches as well as maximum density.

The problem is due to dust or toner scattering in these 3 sensors.take out the unit thorowly clean all the three sensors including the contact sockets.
Ensure that all the three shutters are opening properly for all the three sensors.
The centre PGC Sensor is covered with two white tabs.please gently remove them and remove the toner by cleaning.there are chances for toner accumulation under these white plastic tabs.

After cleaning all sensors fix it and do auto Gama adjustment.and color registration adjustment.

PGC and other left and right sensors of the color registration/correction unit also gives 45-20error most of the time either due to dust or due to non opening of the shutters

Carousel rotation motor error, only professionals can do this activity,, Pl submit the unit in service center,, online support not suggestible..

Delete all stored fax messiages, check if error persists add any one of memory SDRAM 128MB(C9121A)/64MB(C9680A)/32MBC7854A)

This means that the printer cannot read the E-Label on the cartridge, or it is not properly installed.

1. Reinstalle the cartridge
2. Power cycle the device
3. If the problem is not solved, replace the cartridge. (Is the cartridge a remanufactured one? this can be a problem)
4. Check if correct cartridge type.
