Question about Kenmore 9296x Top Load Stacked Washer / Dryer
I have a model 91801 per the operation instructions and on the machine inside the dryer door it is 417.9918010. we replaced the drive belt on the driyer drum and when we put it back togerher it ran for several hours over a 2 day period and now it shuts down after a couple of minutes and gives a display code of E9. The washer seems to work ok.
Got any ideas?
Found the problem. After removing the back panel, found some garments in the bottom of the surrounding clear plastic tub. These must have been periodically blocking the outflow area and triggering the Sd error code. Fixed it by opening the top components of the washer so I could see down into the surrounding tub from above. Fished out the garments with clothes hangar. Put everything back together and have done six loads with zero problems.

You need to replace the drive block and basket drive. You can download a tutorial to get you started at www.shop.washermd.com. The gearcase replacement tutorial will put you in the right direction. Dave

first of all. comming from a Sears Technician.. (don't yell) -- the delivery drivers only know about delivering stuff. they dont know too much,
if the two are the same size they can be stacked.
sometimes have to rig something up
and yes, for that model the top is removed, clips go on the rear and screwed at the front.
in some areas it is sold seperatly as a stacking kit
