Don't think it was me who spoke of gem or a resetter, but your printer is calling for the waste pads to be replaced... one normally would not bother cause it is quite a task..... after replacing the pads the machine also needs it's waste count reset which is done via dealer software ie, gem
GEM i beleive is a aftermarket version of such for some models of epson printers
All printer models are unique and software hack is difficult but search deep and wide and you may be lucky to find a reset program to suit. (but don't be supprised if later your desk is trashed when ink cant be contained by the unchanged pads and it pours out over it)
Ink cartridges on some models have chips inbuilt that count how many prints they do so they know when they are out of ink, regardless if you refill them hence the use of aftermarket chip resetters (nothing to do with your issue)
